Technology
The shape with rounded internal corner concentrates extraction towards the centre of the coffee puck, avoiding those spots where the ground coffee is not well exploited during the extraction process. This is combined with an M type of perforation. It has a greater concentration of holes in a restricted area. The filter's shape was created by IMS to obtain the proper ratio between the base and height of the coffee puck in relation to capacity. Polishing facilitates drying and expulsion. IMS perforation is exclusive and patented. The number and distribution of the perforations are designed to balance the water delivery in relation to the height and shape of the filter and perforated area.
